The Jig Grinder Operator plays a crucial role in our Machine Shop that specializes in producing dies, punches, and other components.
This position is responsible for setting up and operating precision jig grinding machines to produce high-quality components with tight tolerances between.

The Jig Grinder Operator ensures that all dies and punches meet the specified design requirements and contribute to the overall production efficiency by communicating with co-workers and supervisors to receive instructions to coordinate work activities.
Job Responsibilities Interpret and determine from print the machine set-up, specifications, and tolerances required which includes selecting the proper grinding wheel for the material to be ground Set up jig grinding machines by selecting and installing the appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to job specifications.
Operate jig grinding machines to grind and shape workpieces with precision and accuracy, ensuring compliance with design tolerances and quality standards by utilizing measuring equipment or handheld measuring tools.
Maintain and monitor the condition of grinding wheels, dressing tools, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Inspect workpieces during and after the grinding process to verify conformance to specifications and make necessary adjustments.
Record production data, including measurements and specifications, to maintain accurate records and traceability.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Perform routine maintenance and lubricating on jig grinding machines and report any equipment issues to the maintenance team for repairs.
Work closely with the supervisor and other team members, including toolmakers, machinists, and quality control personnel, to achieve production goals.
Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of experience as a Jig Grinder Operator in a machine shop environment or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of precision machining principles and techniques.
Familiarity with measuring instruments and gauges.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for recording production data.
Knowledge of safety protocols and practices.
Pay:
$30-$38 hourly Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:
00 am to 3:
00 pm.
