The YES will work with individual students as well as small groups of students to improve their social interactions with others.
Essential Responsibilities Specific services as a Youth Engagement Specialist include supporting teachers and district personnel in de-escalating students during class time, in the hallways, during lunch time, etc.
Supports district personnel in identifying appropriate interventions and support for students.
The YES will be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention and will work as a team with District Personnel and the Satellite Coordinator around proactive behavior management.
QualificationsClearances.
State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
Work ConditionsPhysical Demands.
Requires vision, speech, and hearing.
Moderate to high level of physical activity.

QualificationsEducationAssociates of Human Services (preferred)High School (required)ExperienceExperience working directly with children or adolescents and deescalating situations.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
