Administrator on Duty Purpose:
The Administrator on Duty (AOD) is accountable for proactively coordinating the activities of admission, discharge, and transfer of patients thereby supporting throughput in the facility.
The AOD provides direction to department leaders to ensure safe levels of staffing while maintaining efficient hospital throughput.
Serves as a resource for all staff and is able to apply competent knowledge and skills to achieve quality outcomes.
Provides interim leadership including but not limited to crisis management intervention as a representative of hospital administration.
Channels pertinent patient/employee/department information to appropriate internal and external sources.
The Administrator on Duty is an RN who is required to have a BS/BSN.
If a BS degree is not in nursing, a Masters or higher degree in Nursing is required.
CNL/MSN preferred with 3
years of clinical and progressive leadership experience.
Clinician Fellow Purpose:
The Clinician Fellow is a highly developed role model of professional nursing practice with focused expertise and accountabilities in one or more of the following:
expert clinical practice, teaching/development, and/or evidence-based practice.
This role partners with management in the achievement of a culture of excellence in professional nursing practice and patient care.
The Clinician Fellow, under the direction of the Unit Director or Department Manager, assists in the completion of employee evaluations, selection and hiring of staff, and in performance management.
The Clinician Fellow has the authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process.
The Clinician Fellow, in collaboration with other health care professionals, applies superior clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality patient care outcomes.
A Clinician Fellow is one who either has their ASN with 2
years of experience and plans to gain their BSN or one who has their BSN with 2
years of experience.
Clinician Purpose:
The Clinician is a nurse leader who has direct responsibility for the achievement of a culture of excellence and patient care.
The Clinician is a highly developed role model of professional nursing practice.
Under the general direction of the Unit Director or other department manager, the Clinician will complete and deliver employee evaluations, conduct the selection and hiring of staff, and manage the daily performance of a group of direct reports.
The Clinician is responsible for providing service-based education and clinical expertise for staff including orientation and training, consultation on practice issues, and general coordination of clinical activities.
Additionally, the Clinician may have shift accountability for delivering nursing care when needed.
A Clinician is one who has a BSN with 3
years of nursing experience.
Unit Director Purpose:
The Unit Director maintains 24-hour accountability for leading and managing their assigned area in order to ensure an outstanding experience for patients and employees by continuously improving the quality of patient care, creating a healthy workplace for staff, and overseeing clinical, and administrative/business functions.
The Unit Director is responsible for collaborating with medical staff to monitor patient outcomes and setting clinical quality priorities, supporting shared governance through a unit-based professional practice council and using staff feedback to implement professional and patient safety improvements, and developing a best practice climate for the growth and development of students as well as all unit employees.
The Unit Director has responsibility for the oversight of the selection and hiring of staff, department orientation, and fostering a culture of continuous performance management.
This includes completing and delivering employee evaluations, managing daily unit and employee performance, as well as the department budget.
Minimum of 4
years of progressive leadership experience required with relevant clinical experience preferred.
BS/BSN is required at the time of hire and a master's degree/MSN is required.
If a BS degree is not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required.
Demonstrated competence as a Professional Staff Nurse.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately with the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.
Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in the application of the nursing process.
Mobility and visual manual dexterity.
Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in a practicing state.
National Certification preferred.
CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
NIH Stroke Scale (NIH).
Acts 33, 34, and 73 required with renewal.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
