YSGACS is a tuition-free public charter school serving grades K-8.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, PA Teaching Certification, enthusiasm for working in a charter school environment, and an interest/background in multiculturalism.
Experience working in an urban setting is a plus! Skills & Experience Effective communication with scholars, families, and colleagues Cultivate a classroom environment in which scholars express a love for learning Motivate scholars to think critically and take ownership over their own learning and their choices.
Plan and create meaningful lesson plans for engaging and interactive, hands-on learning and discovery.
Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for scholar behavior Be accountable for scholars' mastery of academic standards Evidence of self-motivation, dedication, and willingness to be a team player Strong interpersonal skills and high moral character Create and nurture strong relationships with both scholars and their families.
