Monday-Friday 7AM - 9AM and/or 3PM - 6PM South Allegheny Elementary 1707 Washington Blvd, McKeesport, PA 15133 LEAD CHILDCARE COUNSELOR GENERAL FUNCTION:
The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh is looking for experienced and energetic people who want to make a difference in the lives of children by providing direct supervision of youth in an afterschool setting.
Develop and implement lesson plans that include creative, fun activities, communicate with parents and assist with homework.
Follow and implement all safety protocols.
Support the program director with DHS licensing requirements and Keystone STARS.
Each employee is assigned a primary location but may be required to go to another location within the region to assist with ratio.
LEAD CHILDCARE COUNSELOR REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years experience working w/children Associate Degree in relevant field required; Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred 15- Hour Online Orientation (will provide you instructions at time of hire) LEAD CHILDCARE COUNSELOR PAY SCALE:
$15-$16/hour Candidates must have or obtain a recent physical and TB test as well as final 4 Child Care Clearance certificates prior to starting employment.
